2017 Flagship Project
Bridges and Pathways priority fundraising project is to establish the South Australian ME/CFS Fibromyalgia Clinic & Research Centre as a one stop shop to co-ordinate research and services for the one million Australians living with the physical conditions ME/CFS and Fibromyalgia.
The multi-agency multidisciplinary Centre will combine medical care and research projects that are patient centred and linked to improving patient outcomes for all Australians.
Priorities in the first 2 years will be:
- A General Practice multi-pronged management pilot.
- Research projects on the new tests and biomarkers from overseas and the private sector.
- Evaluating patient outcomes
A major priority of the Clinic is to train more providers and to help Australians meet the National Disability Insurance Scheme and Centrelink assessment criteria.
